S.U.R.F. Studying & Understanding Our Relationship of Faith

SURF the Confirmation Ministry of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Pacific Beach, is an important part of St. Paul’s ministry to youth. It has been created so that young people might be regularly brought together with other Christian youth and caring adult mentors during their sixth and seventh grade years. It includes Christ-centered study, discussion, activities and relationships. It depends on pastoral instruction and thrives with parental involvement. It’s goal:

“To help young people understand their saving faith and impact others with the message of Jesus.”

S.U.R.F is highlighted by family studies, mentor meetings, retreats, service projects and journaling throughout the school year. Its goal is not just to provide INFORMATION, but to let God’s Word produce TRANSFORMATION! SURF is a place where friends come together to have a good time. We certainly want that to be the case at St. Paul’s as kids gather to learn about Christ and enjoy S.U.R.F.
