Welcome to Music at St. Paul's

Rehearsals for St. Paul’s outstanding music program take place during the school day. Three choirs and two handbell ensembles perform at chapels, worship services, and at the annual Celebration of the Arts, and also use their musical gifts to share the love of Jesus in our community.

The students sing and ring with joy, precision, and beautiful harmony; they learn to appreciate the effort and time it takes to perform music with excellence, and the words and music they learn remind them of God’s love and all of His gifts to us.

St. Paul’s Lutheran School Music Program, 2025-2026

Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord, O my soul! I will praise the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praises to my God all my life long.
From the rising of the sun to its setting the name of the Lord is to be praised. Psalm 146:1; 113:3

Recognizing and developing each student’s God-given musical gifts and using them to His glory and in His service is the focus of
St. Paul’s Lutheran School’s music program.

ACCLAIM (5th-8th grade choir)

Students in grades five through eight have the opportunity to participate in ACCLAIM, our vocal ensemble. Previous musical experience is not required. This group sings with EXALT, but also performs alone occasionally. Two rehearsals are held each week during the school day. For 2018-2019, our activities include singing at Padre Choir Night at Petco Park in the fall, singing at Pacific Beach Fest, and singing with the St. Paul’s alumni for Christmas Eve worship, and using our music to share the love of Jesus in the community. We look forward to the Concordia Choir Festival in the spring.

“But God raised him high and gave him the name which is above all other names so that all beings in the heavens, on earth and in the underworld, should bend the knee at the name of Jesus and that every tongue should acclaim Jesus Christ as Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2: 9-11.
